My Attempt to Start an Internet Campaign

A few months ago, a guy started a Facebook page demanding that Betty White host Saturday Night Live. This eventually led to Betty White hosting SNL. My question is how and why do certain internet campaigns succeed in capturing people's attention? To satiate my curiosity, I will attempt to start one of my own.
This next season of NBC's The Office will be Steve Carell's last and there's some debate about who will take over as regional manager of Dunder Mifflin. I think New Zealander Rhys Darby who played Murray on Flight of the Conchords would be a perfect fit. That's why my internet campaign is devoted to seeing him be the show's next boss.
Do I really care? Not really. I think he would be a good fit, but I'm more interested in seeing if my Facebook campaign can take off. So if you're also interested in my social experiment go to http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=143237582370839 and join my group.
